I truly believe desserts can be both beautiful and intentional. These chocolate donuts with lavender icing were created with that philosophy in mind. They feel indulgent and elegant—almost bakery-style—but are made with simple, mindful ingredients that support balance rather than blood sugar chaos.
These baked plantain empanadas are deeply rooted in our Latin kitchens. For me, they represent comfort, family, and tradition—but also the opportunity to recreate classic recipes in a more nourishing, intentional way.
There’s something deeply grounding about starting the day with a warm, intentional breakfast—especially during colder months. This Oatmeal with Chia, Flaxseed, and Earl Grey Tea infusion is one of those simple recipes that feels comforting while quietly supporting your hormones and blood sugar balance.
This cauliflower rice with chicken and vegetables is a comforting, functional, and easy-to-prepare recipe designed to support hormonal balance, maintain stable blood sugar levels, and serve as an excellent option for the whole family.

Caramelized Ripe Plantains (Plátanos al Caldero) are often mistaken for dessert — but let me tell you, they’re anything but that. In many Caribbean and Latin households, these sweet, golden plantains are a beloved side dish that brings balance, comfort, and a touch of natural sweetness to any meal.
This stovetop rice pudding is a traditional Spanish dessert—unpretentious yet deeply flavorful. I’ll admit I hadn’t given rice pudding much thought before, despite how iconic it is in Spanish households and restaurants. My goal was to create a healthier, creamier version with a delicious twist and no unnecessary added sugar. I hope you love it!
I have to be honest, I am not a big fan of pies, but pecan pie became a staple in our home because my family is a huge fan of it and because I finally created this delish gluten-free and dairy-free recipe. Since it wasn’t part of our repertoire dessert at the time I was purchasing outsourced, but it was so hard to find a gluten-free, dairy-free, and sugary that will spike your glucose. This recipe came from not finding a good healthy pecan pie option.
Preheat the oven to 175°C. Lightly grease the madeleine mold.
· In a large bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar. Add the melted coconut oil, honey, and salt, and mix well. Add the matcha powder. Make sure there are no lumps in the batter.
· Add the almond flour, coconut flour, and baking powder. Add the oat milk.
Pour the batter evenly into the muffin tins. Wet both index fingers and gently spread the batter with your fingers so the surface is flat.
Bake for about 10 minutes or until the edges begin to brown.
Remove and let cool completely.
