Yuca & Cheese Torticas

I love cheese and yuca one of my favorite food as a kid. These Torticas dairy free are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, And easy to make.

Ingredients

  • 1 ¾ cup tapioca flour

  • 1 teaspoon of pink salt

  • ½ cup of hot water

  • 2 tablespoons of coconut oil

  • 1 cup vegan Parmesan cheese

  • 1 beaten egg

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180 C. Prepare a tray with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  • In a large bowl, combine the tapioca flour with salt. Add the hot water and coconut oil. Mix well to form a dough. Let rest for 5 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, in another bowl, mix the grated Parmesan cheese with the beaten egg.
  • Unify the ingredients and form a dough.
  • Divide into balls and bake for 30 minutes until golden.

TIPS

  • You can make these balls in the air fryer at 200 C for 20 minutes.
  • If the dough is too loose put it in the refrigerator for 20 before making the balls.
  • Ideally, you consume them at the moment since they taste better that way. Otherwise, you can refrigerate them and to reheat you must add a little oil so that they brown.
