This Creamiest Lavender hot chocolate recipe for a better night’s sleep. One of my favorite herbs in the world is Lavender it really soothes my soul and heart.
Life has been stressful lately and nothing like a ceremonial Lavender and chocolate to relax. It relaxes you.
Lavender- Is so beneficial, it provides you support when you are anxious because it slow the activity of your nervous system, improves sleep quality, promotes relaxation and lift mood. The smell is beautiful it’s transport you to a tranquility space. It is antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Then why no love it if is so beneficial.
Ceremonial or Dark Chocolate – Ceremonial cacao properties is high in nutrients and antioxidants, contains compounds like anandamide & theobromine that can improve moods, mental calm, tranquility, and emotional well being, also it relax your muscles because contains magnesium which supports the nervous system, while dark chocolate Contains antioxidants and has anti-diabetic, anti-inflammatory, and anti-microbial properties. Cacao also grounds you and heart opening. Therefore this drink is a must on your night routine!
Hot Chocolate with Lavender Notes

2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder ceremonial
2 bars of 70% chocolate
1 tablespoon of lavender infusion (recipe below)
½ teaspoon of vanilla essence
Pinch of pink salt
Dairy-free whipping cream
2 ½ cups of oat milk
- For the lavender infusion:
Ingredients:
¼ cup water
¼ cup pure honey
2 tablespoons culinary grade lavender flowers
Directions
- In a pot, add the oat milk, cocoa, chocolate bars, lavender, vanilla essence and salt. Heat until boiling. Lower the heat and cook for 5 more minutes.
- Remove from heat, strain and add the infused honey.
- Divide into two cups and serve with the whipping cream.
- For the lavender infusion:
- Place the water and honey in a pot and cook over medium heat until it boils. Lower the heat to low and add the lavender flowers.
- Cook over low heat for 3 minutes and strain.
- Store your lavender infusion in a glass container.
Tips:
You can enjoy before bed times or when you feel anxious! Omit the whip cream if you are consuming this drink during the night time.
