What is Matcha?

Matcha (or Matcha) powder is made from green tea leaves that are ground very finely. It’s origins are in china and it is widely used in tea ceremonies across Japan. It is an ingredient now more widely used, and you can find it in ice cream, any desserts, or recipes.

What Does Matcha Taste Like?

If you know, you know- but there’s a good chance you don’t. Maybe your inner curiosity has been pestering you to try that curious green beverage you keep seeing at the cafe or perhaps you did take a chance on a matcha latte, only to find that it tasted like green cookie dipped in bitter algae. High-grade matcha is a whole other deal, Allow me to explain.

Matcha is a fine powder that is made by stone-grinding a special kind of green tea leaf. It has a very complex taste, and it works so well in latte. It’s reach and aromatic and has a sweet after taste. It’s not like anything you’ve probably had before, but I promise you’ll will love it after you know the benefits for your hormones and with this recipe you will find it delicious!

What You Will Need

Ceremonial Matcha: Matcha can be classified into two broad grades: Ceremonial Matcha, which generally describes matcha grades appropriate for use in traditional tea ceremonies, and Culinary Matcha, which describes matcha grades suitable for use as an ingredient in drink or dessert recipes. I love this IPPOD

Whisk bamboo: I love using a bamboo whisk for my matcha lattes. They help create the smoothest matcha paste I’ve ever had. Totally clump-free matcha lattes! If you don’t have one, you can use a traditional wire whisk, but be sure to combine it really well until there are no lumps.

Coffee vs. Tea

Matcha is a tea, not a coffee, and it’s a great alternative to your morning cup of joe. It provides the same amount of caffeine as a cup of brewed coffee, however, the buzz is much longer lasting and energising. And very hormone friendly.
